Who We Are
A nonprofit built on one belief: morale is mission-critical.
Formed to serve the 944th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Luke Air Force Base, our committee began as maintainers and spouses asking a simple question — how do we take care of our own when the tempo is high and the days are long?
Today we are an IRS-recognized public charity under IRC Section 501(c)(3) (EIN 83-1864228), classified as a public charity under Section 509(a)(2). Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Principal correspondence: admin@944staffmorale.io.vn.
- Dignity first — every Airman and family member is treated with respect, never as a number.
- Squadron-focused — programs designed by maintainers, for maintainers and their loved ones.
- Radical transparency — annual reporting, Form 990/990-N compliance, and open books.
What We Do
Programs that keep the squadron strong
From recognition ceremonies to family support, every initiative is designed to strengthen readiness through community.
Quarterly Recognition
Spot awards, team shout-outs, and end-of-quarter celebrations honoring exceptional maintenance performance and leadership.
Family Support Fund
Emergency assistance for squadron families facing unexpected hardship — travel, medical co-pays, or essential household needs.
Spark Maintainers
Scholarships and mentorship for dependents and junior Airmen pursuing trades, certifications, or higher education.
Squadron Socials
Free monthly gatherings — cookouts, holiday meals, and family days — because connection fuels resilience.
Holiday & Care Drives
Seasonal collection and distribution of care packages, school supplies, and holiday support for deployed members and families.
Airman-to-Airman
One-time micro-grants up to $500 nominated by peers for Airmen facing unexpected crisis — transportation, housing, or emergency needs.
A Story from the Line
“We came for a meal. We left knowing the squadron had our back.”
When SrA Martinez’s family faced an unexpected PCS expense last year, they hesitated to ask for help. At a Squadron Social, a committee member listened, connected them with the Family Support Fund, and three peers volunteered to help with the move. By month’s end, their daughter had a Spark Maintainers tutor and a new circle of friends.
